  95.  NOTES:
  96.  This report is a listing by month of the number of networks
  97.      configured for announcement on the NSFNET infrastructure.
  98.      It includes a breakdown by IP class and the number of
  99.      non-US nets.
  100.  Network IP addresses have historically been grouped into
  101.      three classes: A for IPs 1-126, B for 128-191, and C
  102.      for 192-254.  With the advent of CIDR blocks in March
  103.      1994, the classes have been re-labelled according to
  104.      the corresponding prefix length.  The "Other" column
  105.      is used for networks using prefixes other 8, 16, or 24.
  106.  Prior to December 1992, the sum of the values in the Prefix
  107.      Length columns will not usually add to the total.  The
  108.      difference represents deleted networks for which we no
  109.      longer have enough information to determine their class.
  110.  Counts exclude networks that are configured for the ANSNet
  111.      backbone but are not routed by NSFNET.
  112.
